Tonight. Right now.

You woke up. So dada went in to love on and get you back to bed.

I stayed in bed. It's 11.  This is the 2nd time you've been up.

You must have gotten sick while Dada was holding you because he asked for the changing pad.  He grabbed a towel or something.  And even while feeling yucky, you've been laughing out loud!  And making dada laugh too! Adding humor galore to a stinky situation!

Earlier today, you had multiple blowouts and several dirty outfits. Even a soiled car seat.

Poor baby boy.  And bottom!

Yummy breakfast.

Watching the rain.

We stuffed your toy mouse into an egg!

Requesting hell to set him free.

This was right after you had two back to back stinky diapers.

Snacks out of your eggs!

A big plus to lots of dirty diapers meant an extra bath today. 3 total.

1st of FEBRUARY Valentine's 2015

We traced your hands and then created these Valentine's for your family folks.  They loved them.  We mailed them in those pretty red envelopes and people hung them around their homes.  Neat!

December 16, 2014 zoo toy

Dada and I gave you this zoo you for birthday.  You loved tearing it apart once we put it together.  So, we put it away for another time.  You still play with the rhino, alligator and tiger.

January 22, 2015. Such a nice day!

Love!

In the big boy shopping cart/car!!!

You're a good driver!

I remember this was such a great day!  A slow down day!  A day to dance, and play, fun, chase, giggle, and love!  A perfect day!  The day after your Dada's birthday!

Eyes out

We were invited to a play date today.

A bunch of kiddos varying in age- you being the youngest-and their mamas-I was most likely the youngest mama.  Neither of us much younger than the second youngest.

I love watching you watch people.  Your surroundings.

You sit back, take it all in, and take mental notes.

Once you've got it figured out, you get more involved.  Until then, you watch from nearby.  Still doing your own thing.

Today, kids were racing here and there.  You gathered a stick (hick) or two, poked an ant bed or more, blew dandelions (and flowers), sniffed flowers, and played on the playground (slides, swinging bridges, etc), checked out the big kids scooters, ate crackers and twists, all at a safe distance.

But you know Phoebe and Ruthie.  And they were fun to hang with from the start. They're also closest in age to you.  And ruthie is fearless and fun.  And Phoebe likes playing with sticks and is your same size.

I could eat you up watching you bend to see the big kids climb the trees or venture up the bigger and higher parts of the playground.

You're so sweet.  So observant. So perfect.

You took a little cat nap on the way home.

You ate my shirt at nap time.

Big feelings

I hope this link still works when you read it.

It's written by Jen Hatmaker.  Author. Blogger.

She pretty much sums up my feelings.  Wishing. Praying I always remember.

I love you!

Our first ride in Dada's truck.

Just the two of us.

In Dada's truck (once Papa Hen's. Once Uncle Fungus').

A trip to Sam's first thing this morning to return chicken and buy eggs for dying. :)

His truck rocks and sways.  It'd be good for snoozing.

It was today.

I kept talking to you but got no response.  I knew you had to be asleep when I started talking ducks with no peep from my backseat buddy.

That expression. First sign of waking.

I love our rides.

Stucco bond.

Today a guy is here to check the outside stucco in our home.  Making sure it's in good shape and seeing where/if repairs are needed.

You're snoozing in my arms.

And he's outside your window(s) banging and clanging his ladder and other needed items to complete his inspection.

I remember the process last year too.  We were in this same chair.  But in the back corner vs the front corner of your room.

Through their knocking on the exterior of our home you never budged.  Same today.  I'm so thankful to be snuggled in with you in your monster feetie jammies.

I'm thankful beyond words for a life that can slow down every once and awhile and allow for moments/periods of pure beauty. Times to soak in these moments that if we are hurried, we would miss completely.

Blessed to be your mama.

February 14, 2015 My Valentine

My Valentine!

Holding you at nap time is one of the greatest joys.  I want to freeze time.  It's passing fast. Months ago, I held you like this for days. While you napped.  Love that you enjoy the comfort of my arms.

My boys. Their drinks. And toboggan. February 15, 2015

You're so precious.

I want to always remember these snuggles.

Love.

Look at those teeth!

That smile!

My goodness!

If you mustache, I'm the cutest boy there ever was!

This life

Never before did I know joy like I do now.  With you.  With your Daddy.

Life is full.  Spectacular.

Everyday is new and fun.  Even if we are following the same routine from days past.

It's a fascinating life.  This one we lead.  Together.

And I'm beyond thankful I get to spend it with you and your Daddy.

I love you!!!

Trucks January 27,2015

Trucks. First time with mama.  Jule Collins art museum.

Ready to go!

Checking out the cyclists.

Look at that truck!!!

In the trucks side mirror I spy mama and Will.

Let's take a closer look!

Your as tall as the wheel!

Love that sun.

Then we went inside. First stop, the truck play table!

We got the opportunity to watch the artist at work painting this large mural. That's the artist in the picture.

I love this picture so much of you sitting in your stroller by the pond at the museum.  It's currently framed and in our dining room.
