The Oaks

A few years ago, before you were born, an Alabama fan poisoned the oaks at Toomers Corner in Auburn.  Icons, for years, they'd been the center of post game celebration as people met to roll their branches.
Today, in the old oaks place, two more were raised.  The excitement was overwhelming and apparent as fans crowded the streets first thing this morning to watch the trees sink roots into the corner of magnolia and college.
We went after your nap today when it was warmer and not as crowded.
Beautiful way to spend Valentine's Day with you!

We played in the sun on Samford lawn and bought big yummy cookies at Mylks.

Took pictures by one of the new trees.

Look at that sun!!!!

And new tree!

You can see the wires above the intersection here-temporary place for rolling.  I think the upcoming year, celebratory toilet paper rolling will have to be for the wires too-so the trees have time to settle before bearing the weight of the tp.

Love you, my little Valentine!
